Battle Royale

I think I've just entered a new stage in my coloring style. I am VERY but VERY VERY VERY Happy with this work. It turned out way better that I actually expected.

So... Here's a Type 10 MBT of the Japanese Ground Self-Defence Force (JGSDF) opening fire against invading targets (Russia, North Korea, China, your misterious neighbour... whatever, your pick).

And on the skies a pair of AH-1S Cobras fly to provide air cover to nearby mechanized infantry units.

The Type 10 is still in the Prototype stage so it's possible that the final version of the Type 10 could look a bit (Or in the worst case... totally) different.
I have drawed this tank using the very few photos that are available of the prototype (Shown about a year ago). And it wasn't very easy as the desing is quite complex. Kinda like a mix between the Leopard 2A6 of the German Bundeswehr and the AMX-56 Leclerc of the French Army.

Since in this picture we assume that the Type 10 is already in service, I painted it with the typical colors other GSDF vehicles are painted.

Helicopters.... Like usual I vectorized a screenshot because I'm too lazy to go print reference and try to draw it by hand The screenshot I vectorized was from a AH-1 (N version???) so the gun pod is not exactly as present in the AH-1S that the GSDF has.
The original plan was to make 6 helicopter vectors. The first was the AH-1S Cobra, the second would have been an AH-64DJ Apache while the remaining four would be one UH-1J Iroquois and three CH-47J Chinooks. Quite a lot of work.

I was vectorizing the Apache when I realized... that the sky would simply be too crowed. And I found it hard to vectorize a small resolution screenshot and keep all the details. So I just putted the Cobra.

Most of the background is.... digital. No, honest!
The street and some part of the background were hand made but I had to extend some parts of the streets by drawing it with the pencil tool. I'd say... a third of the street section (The one located on the far right) is made on photoshop.
The forest in the background... Also totally digital. I didn't bother to draw three (And I'm not good at that either) so I used some brushes to make the forest.
I used a damn lot of brushes in this work and without them this project would not look this good.

Ro_Stock provided scratch/grunge brushes which sadly are not noticeable.

Well... I'd dare to say this was one of the best projects I've made. I'd been real epic to had included all the other helis but meh... It may have not look so good.

And now I'm oficially out of linearts to work on Seriously... I don't have any drawings scanned nor waiting to be scanned. I haven't gotten into making blueprints of a mecha desing similar to the GASARAKI Type 17 Raiden which would lead subsequently to a more serious project. I don't dare to give a time schedual but here's a guess... it's gonna take a long while.

And if I'm too frustrated... well then I'll go back at working on some requies.
But I'm not gonna be available to work very hard on those because..... I have to go back to University Classes start in one week and this time I have to get serious.

I still can work quicly on some -only vector- projects that don't require me to draw anything by hand and that aren't very complex. I could come up with some unmentioned projects if I can't come up with my more serious projects and requests.

Well I hope you like this as I sacrificed my beloved weekend to work on this.
