Between Battlefields by Panzerfire Between Battlefields by Panzerfire
Requested by :iconboggeydan:

His OCs MSgt Dita Landucci and SgtMaj Daniel Soldino having a short break between the battlefields.
Both with USMC combat uniforms (On desert MARPAT) and holding Colt M4s with EOTechs. Ditta's M4 has a M203 Grenade Launcher (Although while drawing it I was contemplating adding it the newer M320 GL, however I lacked of the reference to draw it).
Dan's M4 has a forward handgrip instead.

:) It came out good. There are some stuff that bugged me during the drawing and also during the coloring.
1st thing is Ditta's smile.... yes... I know it looks bad ^^; I drawed that smile like a 100 times and that was the best I've achieved. --; I apologize.

His request also included a LAV-25 in the background. However I was to bugged and after several attemps to include a LAV-25, I've decided to scrap that part. ^^;

The Ranks are.... well... not exactly visible. =P I mean there are... but they're too small to notice. They're on both Chests. Not sure if the USMC has the ranks like that. Another thing that makes me wonder if is whetter Sergeant Majors and Master Sergeants actually get to step in to combat directly. But... the ranks are picked by the owner of the OCs. I'm just the messenger ;) You wouldn't kill the messenger right? ;P

It's not 100% exactly as Boggeydan had requested but I hope it get close. :)

At suggestion of :iconcf-jot: I've decided not to keep using downloaded brushes (Well... if possible).
The only special brushes I used were the digital camo pattern brushes from :iconxenosilence: I'll see if in the future I can develop my own digital brushes.
Everything else was made using the default tools and brushes from PhotoShop :)

Not exactly something that makes the work lighter... but I guess It makes it more of my own. ;)

The coloring was all made in PhotoShop and the Lens Flare effect was a 10 minute work with Corel PhotoPaint 12 :)

I hope you guys like it. Imma go work on :iconreowns:'s lineart request soon and then I will scan that plut two other linearts waiting to be colored. :)

Again... it could take a while before I post any new art. So if you are still patient. I thank you.

See'ya in the Battlefield! :salute:

You mean if people pay me for these pics?

This I did for free along with a bunch more. Since then however I'd rather get paid for these works. I only do very rare exceptions.

Drawn well enough. I guess any ranks could happen in wartime. But, the hair is definitely out of regs. Personally, I think the picture makes it hard to tell they're wearing body armor, which is very bulky stuff.

No shit Sherlock. =P

But if I shaved Boggeydan's OCs heads, they wouldn't look much like them. :XD:

If you still can't find any photoes of the M320. Just draw a AG36, the M320 is just a AG36 with a different name, and built to be put on a M16 or M4

Nah don't worry. I already have printed good pictures of the M320. It is almost identical to the AG-36 but still I wanted pictures of the real thing to be more accurate. I'm sure there must be some minor differences because as I have read... the M320 is not identical to the AG-36 despite it's very similar look and same manufacturer.

WOOT! BoggeyDan's characters! Hahaha, I love your version of Dan! :D So, both of 'em are actually Americans? :O
Btw, I see blood o_O; They didn't get those wounds from battling Starscream, right? :XD: Hehe, anyway good job, dude!

Ah yes, they actually both have US citizenship in their service with the USMC - they still have their mixed Euro-Asian heritages, though. ;)

And yeah, they battle various bad guys in various places and still mostly walk away with a wound or two, due to the hardened nature of their battles on foot. :)

Ha! Starscream would have made of them just a gory show of a bloodbath :XD:

But against the MEC there's not much trouble :D

My guess is that both are americans or if inmigrants they'd get the US citizenship.

El nuevo tipo de uniforme militar, el "virtual", no me agrada mucho que digamos, me conformo con los clasicos de la selva y descierto :3

El dibujo esta muy bueno para serte sincero, en que mapa del Battlefield2 los ubicarías??

Hmmm... No estoy realmente seguro.
