Capt. Jean Tarren by Panzerfire Capt. Jean Tarren by Panzerfire
Requested by :icondagger-a09:

His OC Jean Tarren with a United States Air Force uniform.

Rather simple at first so I took the liberty to work out some extra details on the uniform while coloring it.

The Medals (Ribbons) are not specific are just as simple as I could get. I'm not planning in learning each american medal that can be awarded and try to remember it... I can go far in detal-working but not THAT far. =P

Amazing.... This project is so simple that I have little to say about it.
I do think the head is a bit large in comparison to the body. :hmm: But overall I'm happy with it.

Oh well... I hope you guys like it ;)

Next deviation I'm coloring is :iconenojado:'s request.

Until then... see'ya in the Battlefield! :salute:

There is a slight defect with the uniform, that would get that airman in some deep shit with his superiors. It's missing fourth button. This is the old style Class A's (1970s to late 1990s) and is completely correct with that one exception. A good set of pictures are here [link] here: [link] and here: [link] I still wear the old style for the time being due to belonging to the Auxiliaries The current Class As have 3 buttons but lack the pockets below and don't have the pleated breast pockets. Hope this helps.

Cheers! Thanks for the tips. I used this picture as reference: [link]

But at closer look it's quite hard to distinguish any specific detail. If I recall correctly I then proceed to look at other reference pictures using google. I may have used older uniforms pictures inadvertently.

Cool. If I have to draw an old USAF uniform again in the future I'll look into your photos :)

W00T! Nothing could beat the appearance of an ace pilot in a clean, tidy uniform. :D Everything looks perfect, although I kinda think the USAF logo fits on the left-corner of the pic ;) Oh, and such detailed medals too.

Saw too much army pics in combat uniforms, this one is special

yeah lol... 'though it'd be nice to know so I could replicate some of them. But of course i would need a rather detailed biography of the character I want to draw.
