For you muchachos

Requested by over two years ago. Sorry for the delay man.

This is a UNSCDF Marine saying "Here's a little gift for you muchachos!".... then proceeds to throw a M9 High-Explosive Dual-Purpose Grenade at a group of Covenant troops (probably pulling this face: ).

Because no matter what time, place or faction they are... Marines rule the f*cking battlefield!

Please kids, do not try this at home nor in the actual Battlefield, I shall not be held responsible if anyone tries to pull this one off with horrible consequences.


Allrighty, this one came out pretty good, better than I actually thought it would turn out. Surprisingly enough, it also took far less than I thought it would. Like with most projects I thought I'd be working on this for around a week and instead I managed to pull it off in less than three days. Hurray!

In this project I attempted to recreate an explosion in the background. My gallery surprisingly lacks explosions so thanks to 's suggestion I decided to work on one.
I've only used brushes avalaible from PS and no brushes downloaded from the internet (There are plenty of explosion brushes out there but under the people's advice I'm trying to be as much independent from using other people's tools). It turned out pretty good but I still need more practice at it. So that one shall not be the last one .

Those HALO fans will probably notice that the Marine's gear is... well... quite different in appearance to the gear seen in the HALO series (Specially the most recent games), this is so because instead of using screenshots as reference as I should have done, I ended up using concept art pictures instead.... and yeah also some screenshots from the older games.

My apologies but since I'm not a HALO fan I never really got much into it.

Ahhh the trouble since this is not the last HALO work I will do. I got another on the "stuff pending to do" list.
