This is a remake from one of my old projects. Here's the old version to compare: [link]
The USAF and USN are putting together a quick counter attack at invading forces that have just landed at the east of Long Island with all forces avalaible.
Any similarity with Ace Combat 6 "Fires of Liberation" is purely intentiontal.
It ook me about two and half weeks to finish this project. This was mainly because I had to vector each aircraft you see here... well... 90% anyway, The smaller ones just happen to be copies of bigger layers. Although I should notice that most of the vectors made here where done with much fewer details than the main ones in order to speed things up. It was a good call.
The Pilot and it's Cockpit were a hand-made drawing that I included.
The Statue of Liberty is also product of a vectoring work. Although it was quite hard to come up with a "lineart" for it while trying to keep her realistic. I initially planned to draw her but I couldn't draw her in a way that she would look both good and similar to the real Statue of Liberty.
The City of New York below is a modded screenshot from Google Earth. Had to blur it since the pic got somewhat pixelated
The picture includes: F-15E Strike Eagle, F-15C Eagle, F-16C Falcon, F/A-18E and 18F Super Hornet, F-22A Raptor, F-35A JSF, A-10 Thunderbolt II, B-52H Stratofortress and an E-3C Sentry.
It was heavily inspired by this AC6 wallpaper: [link]
I am very satisfied with this project as I managed to accomplish what I expected to do. And now I know what kind of projects I shouldn't be taking frequently.
Seriously, I'm not getting on one of such projects again for at least a year.
for his sparkle brushes.
Well... I hope you like this. I'll take what's left of the weekend to rest and then I'll keep up working.
See'ya in the Battlefield!
