Rupian Federation MiG-29 by Panzerfire Rupian Federation MiG-29 by Panzerfire
Requested by :icondingopatagonico:

A Mig-29 with a woodland camo color livery as used by the Czech Air Force (Or at the very least the Air Force of Czechoslovakia before it's dissolution between the Czech Republic and Slovakia).

He didn't specified 'though whetter it had to be an actual unit of a specific squadron and he allowed me to go as I pleased with this project as long as it was a Mig-29 with that specific color livery.

So I just added 1337 for the lulz ;P and the flag and roundels of the Rupian Federation (A fictional faction that belongs to him). :)

Done with remarkable speed. But usually those projects that are entirely digital tend to be fast to finish.

I hope you guys like it. Only one more requests left to finish! I'm on fire!!! :onfire:

See'ya in the Battlefield! :salute:

Pretty awesome. The blurred background's a really nice touch, shows the jets traveling at great speed. Pretty cool, man. :)

Thank you.

And yeah as I have the background and fighters in different layers, I end up applying some motion blur to give a proper effect.

"1337"

I have to laugh.

Do they still make these versions of the MIG nowadays?

Hmmm I don't know. I think not since the early 90s at best. Any MiG-29 sales are usually of used ones like the German MiG-29Gs to Poland in the early 2000s.

But I've heard that a new Fulcrum has been under development. Namely the MiG-35 which is a 4++ generation fighter based on the MiG-29 airframe (Although with some significant differences). That one will likely replace the older 29s in the Russian Air Force and will also be exported to any countries interested on it.

The Sukhoi flankers on the other hand have been pretty hot in these past 20 years making sales everywhere. So Sukhoi's business unlike Mikoyan-Gurevich (MiG) has been doing great. More so now that they have their first 5th generation fighter well under testing (The T-50 PAK FA). And unlike the US with the F-22 Raptor, The russians have full intentions on selling it abroad. :D

Thank you very much. The feeling of speed is not particularly dificult to achieve. The aircraft has to be on an uppr layer and the background on a different one located below. Then the background has to go trough a process in which Motion Blur is added. And Voila! The Mig looks like it's flying pretty fast.

You can also do it the other way, making the aircraft go trough the process of Motion Blur. But then the details of the aicraft are not very visible ^^;

It depends on whetter the viewer is suppoused to be on a static position or moving along with the object that is moving. :)

Whaaaaaa...? :iconlolwhutplz:

Read the title.... read the comments section. :XD:

It's a Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 NATO reporting name Fulcrum.

Totally not the Sukhoi Su-33 Flanker. ;P

However I do want to do some Su-33 artwork in the future so one day I'll have one in my gallery. ;)
