I do not have anything against russians.

I'm pretty sure this picture will interpretated as a direct attack on the russian culture and nation. But see.... the same freedom of expression the artists, who made the before mentioned pictures, are shielding with, it's the same I have.

I did this purely for the hell for it. I didn't thought about repercusions until I was ready with it.

Anyway.... If anyone doesn't like it (Most likely russians and russian wannabes) then don't watch it. Plenty of other stuff on the internet.

Picture description:
NATO has invaded the Soviet Union! And has reached the walls of the Kremlin itself. It's an all-out victory!

Yay for freedom, democracy and capitalism! (Bit of sarcasm there)

Lots of hammers and sickles shall be destroyed now.

We see three soldiers from Poland, Germany and the US rising the NATO flag over the damaged wall of the Kremlin right in front of the Red square.

On Red square an american M1A2 Abrams MBT and a Norwegian Army Leopard 2A4 are moving towards areas of Moscow still in Soviet power. Over the air we have a AH-64 Apache of the Dutch Air Force looking for soviet armor that might be hiding around the russian capital.

The flag rise is based on the Soviet russian flag rise over the damaged Reichstag during the Battle of Berlin in World War 2. Yup... playing a bit with irony here.


Ok... So I'm pretty done with it. Took a while to draw, took longer to color. You guys have no idea how complicated it was to draw Saint Basil's cathedral. I'm no good at simple buildings much less such fine pieces of art as that cathedral. But thanks to blur and a bit of fog (My favourite resources to hide lack of progress) they look good. Not quite like the real thing but I guess it's ok.

Allright... that would be pretty much it. I don't have anymore linearts to color and I haven't finished any of those I have started during the coloring of this and previous projects. And sadly I don't plan to work on them until I get back from Germany around early December. So this will be my last deviation of the month (Except for fotography) and I will not be fully active during November.

I hope you like this and if you don't... bear in mind that my mail box dedicated to death threats and bashing is already quite large.

Edit: Possible Modern Warfare 3 ending?
After the events of MW2 it'd be logical if the US went on to invade Russia in retaliation for their invasion of the US east coast.
'Though I think they would rather go with the US Flag instead of the NATO one.
